Just think. It’s dusk I’m at a hotel lobby.
If you’re thinking you may ask. Doing what?
Emotional trigger to write happened here today.
I’m flattered beyond belief that I am doing this.
After all, I’m relatively new doing this. I’ve been a long-time fan of internet exploration for worthy causes, but to be here writing this is mind boggling.
Now keep in mind I always wanted to render a helping hand. How? Where?
The idea of writing daily excites me that I showed up thirty minutes early. Whew!
But what’s really interesting is how I am stretching myself.
For example — Currently I’m working on a couple of projects to launch soon.
So, what’s going on here?
I’m stretching out of my comfort zones.
Why?
How?
When you stretch your comfort zone, you reach a new level of comfort and confidence.
“Ah, but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp, Or what’s a heaven for?” – Robert Browning
When I launch out daily. I play detective. I go to the office, I work, talk, share, joke, and play (where necessary). Out of my openness, I come up with blog post ideas. Out of my willingness to take risks, and exceed my comfort zones by pursing my desires, I create new possibilities.
The result is magic.
This is an important lesson for YOU to catch!
You have “comfort zone limits,” too.
When you find them and nudge them a bit, you extend your power and attract new results.
You see, that isn’t doing daredevil stuff.
It’s just taking what you haven’t done before but want to do, and focusing on making something happen by doing it.
This is simply following inspiration and taking action to create something new.
Yes, there is often fear involved, but i feel the fear and do it, anyway. I turn the fear into fuel.
Here’s an example —
Some past several years, while in bed thoughts lingered in my mind about writing a book (and truly wowing me at it), I received an idea for a book.
I jotted some lines down, went back to sleep. As I was still in bed sleeping, I started thinking on the book structure.
The chapters and layout seemed to come together.
When I finally woke up, I did something daring.
I said to my wife, “I want to write a book!”
This was a huge move on my part.
Book writing at all, any time, any place, has been a challenge for me.
I’m new at it.
I’ve been insecure about it.
And to write for public consumption was a courageous even outrageous thing to suggest.
But. I wanted to push out of my comfort zone.
My heart was racing but I knew I had to do this.
So I took a deep breath, got in front of the computer, and belted out.
After I gave a sample of the book to a few people, the comments were amazing, “That was some of the best writing I’ve ever read.” one said.
Really?
It was staggering.
All I’m reminding you here is do what you fear.
If you have a dream but feel nervous about it, that’s good.
It means you care.
The next step is to get up and do something about it.
Your comfort zones are invisible lines in your mind.
You can melt them with a little stepping forth.
(Let this sink in)
I’m packing up my laptop and heading home to publish this for YOU now.
What are you going to do today to stretch yourself?
(Let this sink in too)
Chat soon…
Love from,
David
